Where to Eat & Drink
We’ve done the hard work here guys and have eaten very well lately…all in aid of sharing the goods with you. Firstly, if you haven’t made it to Medlock Canteen yet, please get it on your list! Think simple, hearty, comforting classics with a Medlock Canteen touch. Our stand out, still thinking about it dishes are the Croquettes, Rotisserie Chicken, Market Fish, 50/50 Brown Butter Mash, Deep Fried Rhubarb Pie and Chocolate Cremeux. Truly, every mouthful made us feel warm and fuzzy, it’s the kind of feel good food that will leave you wanting more. Another stand out restaurant we went to recently is Bench, Sheffield, (only an hour’s train ride from Manchester) if you’re looking for a change of scenery. We recommend you go immediately. Bench is a neighbourhood hangout with communal bistro-style dining, serving seasonal dishes. In the realm of this style of food, it might be some of the best we’ve ever had! Every dish is a masterpiece, so thoughtful, so delicious, and so inventive. It’s a must visit for a foodie, and it’s more than worth the train ride.
That’s it for this month gals, thanks so much for being here. See you next time!
