The Flâneuse and The City #13
What’s on in Manchester this June: Where to Eat, Shop, Sip & Flâneuse in Style
Is there anything more delicious than June? She arrives draped in possibility, sun-kissed, joy-filled, and bursting with the promise of summer fun. The whole month feels like a love letter to spontaneous “shall we get a bottle?” moments and girlie plans made on a whim.
June is the silly season’s soft launch - a warm-up for all the fun to come. Here’s everything you should shop, sip, savour, and do this month because being a Manchester girlie in June is a full-time job.

What We’re Shopping
This season, we’re shopping with intention. That means only buying pieces we’ve been thinking about for at least two months, and choosing independent brands over high-street hauls wherever we can. It may have taken 30 years to get here, but we finally understand that less really is more. We're investing in capsule wardrobes, not impulse buys.
There is a real surge of ‘cool girl’ summer brands this year, from Carmen Says to Susmie's Collection, we’re loving pops of colour, feminine silhouettes, and bohemian accessories. European summer dressing is here and we’re so happy about it.

Where to Eat & Drink
Summer has officially arrived in the city, and with it, a fresh wave of spots worth planning your entire weekend around. Here’s where we’ve been eating and sipping and think you’ll love too.
Circolo Popolare has landed in Manchester, and it’s nothing short of theatrical. From truffle pasta spun tableside in a cheese wheel, to pistachio tiramisu scooped fresh before you, every detail is designed for indulgence. Plus the interior feels like a sun-drenched Sicilian courtyard. Try and get a booking if you can, it’s worth the hype.
Soots Pasta in Altrincham is worth the trip - handmade pasta, slow-cooked sauces, and an intimate neighbourhood feel that makes you want to stay all afternoon. Keep an eye out for their rotating specials, they never miss!
Yellowhammer is your seasonal small plates and natural wine summer destination. It’s all about creative plates, natural wines, and a beautifully relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to linger.
The Underbank is the latest edition to Stockport's buzzing scene and we're calling it the place to be this summer. This Beer Hall, margarita bar and sound system venue is a day-to-night destination. Serving up locally brewed pints, frozen margaritas, and watermelon tequila shots, paired with a sun trap front terrace just in time for summer. The mega sound system also promises a stellar line up of DJ's and party collectives. It’s all about good music, good people, and it has just the right amount of mischief.
What’s On
We’ve got a whole month of fun, and feel-good plans ahead. It’s a packed calendar but don’t worry, we’ve done the hard work and handpicked the very best bits just for you. Thank us later, gals 💋
